Data We Collect
What you give us yourself: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, city, and whatever you write in our forms, such as the type of inquiry or the program you are interested in. Some application forms also ask for age range and gender. What is collected automatically while you browse: IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visited, and the link you arrived from. That second kind is collected by the measurement and advertising tools we use, which are named in section three.
Purposes of Processing
Replying to your inquiry and following up on your registration for shows, workshops or programs. Keeping an internal record so the team can follow up and nothing gets lost. Protecting the forms from automated and spam submissions. Measuring how the site performs and which content actually reaches people. And advertising: we use tools from Google and Meta that let us show Amman Comedy Club ads later to people who visited the site, or to audiences that resemble them. We say this plainly because it goes further than aggregated statistics.
Tools and Service Providers
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for money. To run the site we use: Vercel for hosting, Neon for the database that stores form submissions, Resend for sending email, and Upstash for limiting repeated automated submissions. To follow up internally we use Google Sheets and Notion. For measurement and advertising we use Google Analytics along with Google's related advertising services, and the Meta Pixel from Facebook. Most of these providers are outside Jordan, which means your data is processed outside the country. The Digital Academy (academy.ammancomedyclub.com) has its own separate privacy policy covering payment and registration data.
Cookies
One essential cookie stores your preferred language, and the site does not work properly without it. Then there are measurement and advertising cookies: from Google, with names starting with "_ga", and from Meta, named "_fbp". We do not currently show a cookie consent banner. If you would rather your visit was not measured, you can disable cookies in your browser settings, install Google's official opt-out add-on for Analytics, or change your ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram account. Disabling them does not stop you using the site or applying to anything.
Data Retention
Form submissions and follow-up records: we keep them while we are handling your request, then in our internal records until you ask us to delete them. Server and security logs: these sit with our hosting and protection providers for short periods set by their own policies, and we use them only for diagnosis and preventing abuse. Measurement and advertising data: this is governed by Google's and Meta's policies and their retention periods, not ours.
Your Rights
To request a copy of the data we hold about you. To correct anything that is wrong. To ask us to delete it, which we will do within 30 days and confirm by email. To object to your data being used for direct marketing. For any of these, write to info@ammancomedyclub.com, preferably from the same email address you used in the form so we can be sure it is you.
Security
The whole site runs over an encrypted connection (TLS). The database is closed, reachable only by the site itself and a small number of the team. The forms are protected by a submission limit that stops repeated automated posting. We never ask for bank card details on this site, and any payment happens on another platform with its own policy.
